Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
The mission of our ministry is to bring Holy Communion to the sick at homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Jesus spoke to all of us in Matthew : 35-36.. “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome, lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me. ”
In this extraordinary ministry, “not only are we visiting the sick and imprisoned, we are blessed to bring these brothers and sisters of ours, the true body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus, found in the Holy Eucharist.” What can you possibly receive in this life that has more value than receiving Holy Communion? Receiving Jesus Himself in the Blessed Sacrament is by far the greatest gift you will ever receive.
My team and I are all unpaid lay volunteers that are serving from the kindness of our hearts, for the love of God and His people. As Jesus spoke in Matthew 20: 28, “ Just so, the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” We too are trying to give our lives as servants to Christ and produce a lasting positive impact on the people we minister to.
Our team members are: Brenda Lopez, Alicia Perez, Gloria Vazquez Rodriguez, Esperanza Flores, Ofelia Arredondo, Concepcion Aguayo, Susana Vazquez, Doris Alvarez, Rosalba Anguiano and Vivian Bush.
